Switzerland-based Emil Egger has purchased three Grove mobile cranes, which will be stationed at its new facility in Bassersdorf.
The order includes a GMK6300L-1, a GMK5250L and a GMK5150L, with lifting capacities of 300 tonnes, 250 tonnes and 150 tonnes, respectively.
Michael Egger, the company’s managing director, explained: “When choosing the new mobile cranes, the most important factors for us were long telescopic booms, high load capacities and a strong drivetrain.
“With the new models, we can do most jobs in two to four hours. Doing away with additional auxiliary cranes alone shortens assembly and dismantling times by at least two to three hours. This not only reduces the disturbance around the construction site enormously, but also the costs,” added Egger.
