Cometto has launched the Eco500, a self-propelled modular trailer with a payload of up to 500 tonnes.
The vehicle is intended for sectors such as plant construction, wind and energy, the heavy steel construction industry and the nuclear industry.
The Eco500 has a low driving height of 0.67 m, features electronic multi-mode steering with a steering angle of +/- 135 degrees, and has a basic width of 2.35 m. It is capable of handling 38 tonnes per axle line. The module is available with two or four axle lines, both being extendable by up to two joker axles. Several Eco500s can also be combined side-by-side, back-to-back or in an open combination.
The Eco500 offers a choice of electric, hybrid or diesel power packs that are intgrated under tha chassis. The software used in the power packs is fully compatible with all vehicle generations.
