September 16 - The Chinese-Polish joint venture company Chipolbrok has contracted with Shanghai Shipyard for a series of heavy lift ships.
The Contract signing ceremony for the 32,000 dwt MPP ships was held in Shanghai, with the general directors of Chipolbrok, Sun Min and Janusz Janiszewski, jointly signing the contract with Gu Tiquan, chairman of Shanghai Shipyard.
Chipolbrok says that the lift capacity of the new ships will be up to 700 tonnes and they will enter service from the end of 2015.
