September 24 - Cargotec is set to exhibit at the IAA Commercial Vehicles exhibition in Hanover, Germany, on 23-30 September.
The company will present its latest innovations to improve the safety and stability monitoring of Hiab loader cranes, as well as introducing the next generation of control systems.
Cargotec says it is the first loader crane manufacturer to develop safety features and technological solutions complying with the new Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC) and the loader crane standard EN 12999:2009.
Among these is the VSL, Variable Stability Limit - an electronic system that automatically senses how far the stabiliser legs are extended and whether they are firmly secured on the ground, ensuring optimal balance between capacity and stability throughout the operating area, and allowing the crane operator to make full use of the crane without compromising safety.
Cargotec also announced this week the availability of a new version of the Hiab HiPro crane series, the HiPro XSD, equipped with the well-known XSDrive remote control. The first crane to come out with this new system is the Hiab XS 111.
"This will be a great complement to our original HiPro system with the CombiDrive remote," says Cargotec's Bengt Söderholm, product manager for loader cranes.
