August 9 - Netherlands based marine contractor Royal Boskalis Westminster has assisted with the repair and maintenance of a semi-submersible drilling rig in the Mediterranean.
Dockwise - a subsidiary of Boskalis - provided dry docking services as part of the repair project.
Due to the size of the drilling rig and the lack of a large enough dry dock in the region, the semi-submersible heavy lift vessel Dockwise Vanguard was mobilised to lift the rig above the waterline for inspection and repairs.
Assisting the project was Boskalis subsidiary SMIT, which provided underwater inspection and temporary repairs prior to leading the rig onto Dockwise Vanguard.
