Denmark-based BMS Heavy Cranes has tasked Huisman with the delivery of a 3,000-tonne capacity ringer crane.
The crane will be optimised for operations in the wind industry, with the capability to lift components weighing 1,200 tonnes at heights of up to 225 m and heavy structures of 3,000 tonnes at reduced height. The contract award includes an option for a second unit.
The electrically driven crane helps reduce emissions and improves operational accuracy and energy efficiency ensuring its suitability for use in the renewable energy industry, BMS added.
Delivery is scheduled for the second half of 2023.
