October 1 - Blue Water Singapore has shipped two units, each weighing over 1,300 tonnes, from Singapore to Brazil onboard BBC Chartering's heavy lift vessel BBC Aquamarine.
The units were loaded onboard the vessel using a floating crane in Singapore, before being lashed down and shipped to Brazil, where the cargo was unloaded using a heavy-duty gantry crane.
Blue Water Singapore project manager, Sebastian Schilde, explained that the discharge of the first 1,300-tonne unit had to be performed during high tide, which required extensive planning and cooperation between the vessel and shipyard crew.
