Both the cranes have a fixed lattice jib and luffing jib, allowing them to lift to heights of 132 m. The eight-axle cranes come with an 85 m telescopic boom, enabling it to reach heights of around 84 m. A folding jib can be quickly installed to achieve greater heights, as well as a fixed jib or powerful luffing jib.

“To reach hub heights of up to 88 m, we ordered a 7 m-long fixed lattice jib for each crane and an additional 84 m-long respectively [plus] an additional 56 m-long luffing jib – these enable us to lift loads to heights of up to 132 m,” said Yusuf Aydın, owner of Aydıntaş.

The LTM 1450-8.1 can travel on public roads with a 12-tonne axle load whilst carrying its full boom, all four supports and its hoist winch, ensuring it is quickly operational on-site. The 450-tonne crane possesses technologies such as VarioBallast, VarioBase, a single-engine concept, along with ECOmode and ECOdrive.

Aydıntaş has been ordering equipment from Liebherr for 30 years, with the equipment manufacturer currently providing ten of Aydıntaş’ 50 mobile and crawler cranes. These latest units will be deployed primarily onto jobs in the energy sector.

Last month, Grúas Pirineos added a 700-tonne lift capacity Liebherr LTM 1650-8.1 mobile crane to its fleet.
