March 18 - All Coast, LLC has entered into a contract with SEMCO, LLC to construct a new 250 ft leg liftboat.
The liftboat will be delivered in approximately 15 months, will carry a US flag and will be named the Great White. It will be equipped with two 175-tonne capacity leg mounted cranes and will have the capacity of accommodating 50 people.
Byron Allemand, vice president and chief operating officer of All Coast, said "the Great White will likely create about 20 jobs within the All Coast organisation", and that "SEMCO is widely known for the high quality design and construction of their boats; we are fortunate to be partnered with a builder with their experience and qualifications."
All Coast is currently enlarging and refurbishing its liftboat Barracuda, and with the addition of Great White it will operate a fleet of 31 vessels.
