August 7 - ALE has installed 1,300 roof sections at the Mordovia Arena in Saransk, Russia which will host the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
The sections, weighing 80 tonnes each, were lifted and installed using a 750-tonne capacity crawler crane with a 45 m luffing jib in the largest configuration possible.
As there was limited space inside the stadium, ALE stretched the main boom to 118 m for the lifting operations, which took nine months to complete, despite the challenging winter season.
