Wegge-Larsen is currently serving as DB Schenker’s chief financial officer and is a member of its management board, after joining in 2023. Before this, he held both global and regional chief financial officer roles within the Maersk Group, Hamburg Süd, and MSC Denmark.

“Jakob will spearhead our finance organisation as we aim to achieve our long-term target of double-digit profitability and I am confident his extensive experience from several large, global companies will be instrumental for our continued progress,” said Vestas president and ceo, Henrik Andersen.

Rasmus Gram is currently serving as chief financial officer on an interim basis and will do so until handing over to Wegge-Larsen. The former is filling in the role following the departure of Hans Martin Smith in December 2024, who spent more than 20 years at the company.
