November 9 - Speaking at the XLProjects Network's (XLP) 3rd annual conference in Kuala Lumpur, Alan Baldwin, Volga-Dnepr Group's business development manager, confirmed that the company has established a new airline - Cargo Logic Air (CLA).
Cargo Logic Air will provide charter services using Boeing 747 freighter aircraft. "It's not out there yet, we've just been doing test flights," said Baldwin. However, he confirmed the airline will start by servicing the South Africa market, working up to the Middle East and Europe.
Stephen Harvey, who most recently served as senior business development manager, EMEIA at Atlas Air after leaving the Volga-Dnepr Group in 2013, has been appointed chief commercial officer of the new airline.
