October 27 - Secaucus-based, UTC Overseas Inc has established a new office in Tullamarine (Melbourne), Australia, headed by newly appointed country manager, Hagen W. Pusch.
Mr Pusch has served for nearly two decades as managing director of a logistics service group in Australia that has often partnered with UTC on project cargo and logistics service assignments for customers involved in such sectors as mining, power generation and distribution, pipelines, factories and processing plants, and mass transit systems and equipment.
Hans Meyer, vice president of UTC's Crane & Mining Division in Atlanta, Georgia, said Pusch's extensive experience in freight forwarding, project logistics and project management further strengthen UTC's ability to coordinate the complex logistics of large-scale international projects across oceans and continents.
Brian Posthumus, UTC's Secaucus-based group president and CEO, said UTCO is growing rapidly, despite the current economic climate.
UTC already operates offices throughout the USA, as well as South America, Europe, Asia and now Australia.
The company recently announced the appointment of István Csépán as its Hungarian-based manager for Eastern Europe including the Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, Bosnia, and Serbia.
