BBC Chartering has named Ulrich Ulrichs as its chief commercial officer.
As part of the group’s succession planning, Ulrichs is supposed to assume the role of ceo after a transition period, a position currently held by Svend Andersen.
Ulrichs has 20 years of experience in the international shipping sector, having held various management positions with AAL and Rickmers-Line.
Prior to joining BBC Chartering, Ulrichs was part of the managerial team of Zeamarine – the joint venture between Zeaborn and Intermarine – before stepping down from that position at the end of December 2018, as HLPFI reported here.
He will head the BBC Chartering's global commercial business development activities.
