June 21 - Three new executives have been appointed by Ahlers to bolster its management teams in three key markets.
Mike Harrison (pictured left below) has been appointed as general manager of the Ahlers Dubai office. Arun Kondath (pictured right below) has been nominated as deputy general manager. Harrison will focus on project and breakbulk business development in the wider Middle East and Persian Gulf area.
In Benelux, Gerd Illing (pictured below) joins the project and breakbulk team in the Benelux with a focus to develop the German speaking projects markets in Europe.
Wijnand Herinckx (pictured below) joined Ahlers as general manager of the Ahlers Moscow office. Together with the existing Ahlers Russia, organisation he will develop the offering for machinery and project and breakbulk shipments into Russia and provide DDP (delivery duty paid) services to customers.
A company spokesman says: "These men are well known as professionals in the forwarding and shipping industry and acquired extensive experience in companies such as Hapag Lloyd, Cosco, ABX, VAT Logistics, Geodis andBeluga Shipping."
