Thomas Thune Andersen has been elected to Cadeler’s board of directors.
Thune Andersen joins with executive experience in various leadership roles alongside non-executive experience in both listed and privately held companies within the energy, manufacturing, and marine industries, with a particular emphasis recently on the energy transition.
He currently serves as chair of the board of directors of Lloyd’s Register, Lloyd’s Register Foundation and VKR Holding, the senior independent director of IMI, as well as a non-executive director of BW Group and Lambert Energy Advisory. Thune Andersen has also been a member of the Danish Committee on Corporate Governance since 2018.
In the past, Thune Andersen has served as chair of Ørsted and DeepOcean Group, a non-executive director of Green Hydrogen Systems, BW Offshore and SSE, senior independent director of Petrofac, and advisor to Hambro Perks and Arcus Infrastructure Partners.
Thune Andersen will serve an initial term which expires upon Cadeler’s 2026 annual general meeting.
The offshore installation contractor also elected a chair of its general meeting and approved the proposal to permit its board of directors to consist of up to seven members.
Last week, HLPFI reported that Cadeler had signed firm contracts for East Anglia TWO, an offshore wind farm in the UK.
