The Spliethoff Group confirmed that it has acquired five multipurpose tweendeck vessels from Hansa Heavy Lift’s fleet.
The deal includes HHL Elbe, HHL Tyne, HHL Amur, HHL Mississippi and HHL New York.
The 12,750 dwt HHL Elbe and HHL Tyne both feature a combined crane capacity of 300 tonnes. These vessels will be renamed Hudsongracht and Humbergracht, respectively.
HHL Amur and HHL Mississippi, each featuring a combined crane capacity of 360 tonnes, will be renamed Heerengracht and Houtmangracht.
Hudsongracht, Humbergracht, Heerengracht, and Houtmangracht have joined Spliethoff’s fleet as H-Type vessels. The Amsterdam-headquartered shipping company has operated a H-type sister vessel - Heemskerkgracht - since 2016.
The 20,100 dwt HHL New York, featuring a combined crane capacity of 800 tonnes, will be renamed Prinsengracht and will join BigLift Shipping’s fleet.
All vessels will sail under the Dutch flag.
