Scheuerle has launched a new two-axle low-bed semi-trailer in its EuroCompact (EC) series.
Unveiled at the Solutrans commercial vehicle trade fair, which took place in Lyon from November 19–23, the new EC FL02 trailer has a payload of up to 36 tonnes. Scheuerle’s EC FL03 is a three-axle model with a maximum payload of 50 tonnes.
Both versions have a very low deadweight and a deck height of just 20 cm.
The loading height in the driving position is only 30 cm (two-axle) or 32.5 cm (three-axle) – which means that loads measuring up to 3.9 m high can be transported approval-free throughout Europe, Scheuerle said. The telescoping platform decks can be extended to a length of 12.27 m (two-axle) and 12.61 m (three-axle), enabling the loading of standard 40-ft containers.
Meanwhile, fellow TII Group subsidiary Nicolas has expanded both its sales operations and its range of services at its Champs-sur-Yonne site in France.
“Our service department will provide help and support for Nicolas products worldwide,” said Nicolas managing director Aymeric Pasquier.
“In addition, the sales department in Champs-sur-Yonne will sell the Kamag, Nicolas and Scheuerle brands in France and all French-speaking regions globally. These markets are very important sales regions for the companies of the TII Group.”
Nicolas’ service unit carries out training in the use of TII Group products as well as repairs, conversions and modifications.
