Philippines-headquartered Royal Cargo and Vietnam’s Trungnam SMC have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for a strategic cooperation in lifting and heavy transport projects in the Philippines.
As part of the MoU, Trungnam SMC and Royal Cargo agreed to provide each other with specialised equipment and manpower for their respective projects.
Trungnam SMC said that it is committed to providing the full range of modern equipment and human resources to meet Royal Cargo’s demands, and vice versa. It added that it will mobilise resources for projects that require equipment beyond Royal Cargo’s available capacity.
In addition, Trungnam SMC is responsible for ensuring that the equipment is checked, maintained and fully meets the requirements of the project, while Royal Cargo is responsible for ensuring Trungnam SMC’s equipment is protected from loss or damage when transported in the Philippines.
The companies said that the strategic cooperation is the first step in a long-term partnership. Royal Cargo added that it is “aimed at achieving sustainable growth for both companies while contributing to the economy and community”.
