International logistics service provider Rhenus Group has appointed Gilles Delarue as chief financial officer and member of the management board, effective September 1, 2024.

Currently serving as head of group shareholdings international and group compliance officer, Delarue comes to the role with 15 years of experience within the Rhenus Group.

Egbert Bernsmeister, who Delarue is succeeding, is moving to sister company SARIA as chief financial officer under the stewardship of the Rethmann Group. Bernsmeister has held his role ar Rhenus Group for more than 13 years.

“For almost two decades, I have known Gilles to be a passionate leader and outstanding financial advisor. He will be an excellent addition to our management board and successfully translate our growth strategy into consistent financial plans,” said Tobias Bartz, ceo and chairman of the Rhenus Group.

In May, Rhenus Group appointed Moritz Becker and Colin D’Abreo as co-vice president directors of its project logistics unit.
