Amanda and Paul Gardiner have taken 100 percent ownership of UK-based manufacturer of modular spreader beams Durham Lifting in a management buyout.
Amanda Gardiner’s 35-year tenure at the helm of Durham Lifting has seen the launch of the Multisec range of engineered lifting systems, including modular spreader beams, bars, lifting beams and frames. Meanwhile, Paul Gardiner, a qualified design engineer, has been instrumental in driving Durham Lifting’s technological edge, with expertise in proof load testing, installation, and design.
He said: “With a bright future ahead, we are dedicated to building a team with the technical ability to support the growth of the lifting equipment industry to meet future challenges.”
Recently, Durham Lifting invested in a 3,000-tonne capacity testing machine and expanded its testing facilities. This, according to the company, forms part of its growth strategy, enabling it to tackle more significant and challenging projects, enhancing its portfolio of products.
