The company, part of Braemar Shipping Services, with offices throughout the UK and in Singapore, recently announced interim results which revealed sales of GBP16 million (USD26 million), for the six months to the end of August, with a GBP1 million (USD1.6 million) operating profit.
The company said it has adapted to market conditions and created subdivisions, Cory Energy and Cory Renewables, to react to the recent growth in the renewable energy and wind farm industry, particularly in the UK's East Coast area.
"It's an interesting operation bearing in mind that most of this goes on offshore," said John van Bergen, managing director. "These windmills are huge, absolutely staggering things."
Cory has benefited from being part of Braemar. Mr van Bergen explains: "Being part of a plc shows we are reliable and secure as well as enabling us to invest," he says.
He said the company wants to extend its overseas network and get more involved in the energy business in the coming year.
