French heavy logistics specialists Octra and Scales have merged their operations.
As part of the deal, Octra has been absorbed by Scales but will continue to operate under its own trademark and maintain its international partnerships within the project forwarding sector.
As a result of the merger, Scales said that it would be able to offer its customers and the European market with an integrated solution in heavy lift transportation and rigging; transport engineering; project forwarding; as well as storage and logistics services.
While the two companies will continue to operate separately, they will be able to combine their respective skills to jointly bid on projects when required.
Alexandre Ferrus, managing director of Octra, has been appointed managing director of Scales. Thierry Costard remains the company’s president.
