June 1 - International oilfield logistics specialists, ASCO Group has appointed John Jordan has chief executive for the company's operations in the Americas.
Atlanta-born Jordan has worked for a number of prestigious oil companies worldwide in his 28-year career with a focus on increasing profitability and expansion.
He started his professional life as a management trainee with the Western Company in Houston, working his way up over nine years to become president in 1991.
His most recent position was with Cranes International/Sparrows Offshore where he led a management team that built the company significantly before concluding a successful sale for GBP142 million (USD206 million) in 2008.
ASCO Group's chief executive, Billy Allan said: "The Americas is a key region for growth for ASCO. John's experience and knowledge of the market will help us to deliver this and we are delighted that he has agreed to join the senior team."
John Jordan will be responsible for ASCO's North and South American logistics operations as well as its international freight forwarding business.
