Logistics firm Militzer & Münch has opened an office in Mumbai, India.
The country unit – which provides road transportation, air and sea freight forwarding and project logistics services – now trades under the name M&M Militzer & Muench India. The country is expected to serve as a key hub in the company’s network due to its traffic to and from China, Southeast Asia, Europe and Africa.
In the last two years, M&M divisions have been launched in Vietnam and Indonesia, and most recently in Mongolia in July 2024. It has already been operating its own company in Sri Lanka for several years.
M&M has drawn conclusions from financial reports – such as those by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) – which point to India as being in a healthy financial position with further room to grow.
“The country is one of the fastest growing markets in the world and is already among the global leaders in many industries,” said Holger Seehusen, Militzer & Münch Group manager air and sea. “India is therefore an extremely important component in our increasingly dense network in Asia. We see great opportunities for our new country unit to grow sustainably and organically.”
