November 16 - Swiss-based Militzer & M
ZAO Militzer & Münch will see its project logistics business account for more than 12 percent of total turnover this year - more than twice as much as last year, say company managers.
This is largely the result of an enormous boom on the Russian logistics market as the oil and gas sector saw a huge rise in Russia in 2011, a sector where project logistics plays adecisive role.
In one contract, with temperatures at minus 40 degrees Centigrade, the Militzer & Münch team brought technical equipment and machines from the Czech Republic to the natural gas production sites in the Yugra region near Yekaterinburg, through rough terrain and on time.
Using special equipment, ZAO Militzer & Münch also delivered technical equipment from Italy across the Black Sea and through a Russian mountain range directly to the building site, where the cargo was unloaded with a 200 tonne capacity crane.
Project logistics is not only booming in the oil and gas sectors. There are investments to be expected in other economic sectors like the automobile and steel industries, agriculture and wood processing. Militzer & Münch is also involved in preparations for the Olympic Winter Games 2014 in Sochi.
