Qatari-based maritime and logistics solutions provider Milaha and Qatar Steel have signed a five-year deal to provide stevedore services that will enable the import and export of products manufactured by Qatar Steel.
Milaha will provide Qatar Steel with logistical and lifting services – including trailers and forklifts – as well as manpower to complete tasks at Qatar Steel’s berth at Mesaieed Industrial City (MIC).
“We are thrilled to sign this agreement with Qatar Steel. This agreement reflects Milaha’s commitment to supporting national projects, particularly those contributing to the national economy and Qatar’s development,” said Milaha’s ceo, Fahad Bin Saad Al-Qahtani.
Managing director and ceo of Qatar Steel, Abdulrahman Ali Al-Abdulla, added: “This aligns perfectly with our business strategy of expanding our reach into international markets, ultimately contributing to Qatar’s economic growth and solidifying our commitment to delivering exceptional value to our customers worldwide.”
Last year, Milaha signed a strategic alliance agreement with Turkish heavy lift and engineered transport specialist Hareket. The two companies agreed to work together to deliver integrated heavy lift and oversized transport services in Qatar. These services include project planning, route surveys, lift engineering, project management and installation works.
