June 29 - CEVA Logistics has appointed Miguel Salas as freight management project cargo manager in Iberia
In this newly-created position, Salas will focus on the civil engineering and energy sectors, which have an increasing requirement for the movement of large and complex machinery. More recently he was commercial director for FCL Iberia, an oceanfreight company, and held the position of big accounts and operations manager at Transcontinental Forwarding, a specialist in the development and execution of project cargo shipments and large turnkey projects around the world.
Giuseppe Chiellino, managing director of CEVA in Iberia, said: "Miguel's solid experience in large-volume logistics will provide CEVA with the expert knowledge needed in order to strengthen our offering in this area. The centralisation of large-scale operations in sectors such as energy and civil engineering will help us to further improve the management and efficiency of these strategic activities for our customers."
