Manitowoc Cranes has appointed Aaron Ravenscroft as president and ceo, as well as a member of the board of directors, effective immediately.
Ravenscroft joined Manitowoc in March 2016. In his most recent role, he served as executive vice president of cranes.
In addition to his existing understanding of Manitowoc’s core business, Ravenscroft has more than 17 years of operational, sales and marketing experience, and has held international leadership roles in the industrial and engineered equipment sector.
Kenneth Krueger, chairman of the board, said that Ravenscroft will help “continue to lead Manitowoc through this unprecedented global crisis…[and] toward a global market recovery and a new phase of growth and development.”
Ravenscroft succeeds Barry Pennypacker, who is stepping down as part of the company’s leadership transition plan. Pennypacker will continue to serve Manitowoc in an advisory role through to December 31, 2020.
