Mammoet has been awarded a heavy lift and transport contract for a refinery expansion in Beaumont, Texas.
Mammoet will be responsible for the barging, transport and installation of modules weighing up to 1,360.8 tonnes, as well as reactors and columns weighing up to 1,134 tonnes.
Mammoet will use SPMTs to move the components, along with its LR13000 crawler crane for lifting operations.
John Rowe, project sales director for Mammoet Americas, said: “The heavy lift and transport development strategy we have shared with TechnipFMC and ExxonMobil will allow us to provide an efficient solution and offer the best possible execution strategy for this project.”
