Malin Marine Consultants (MMC) and Linde Engineering have signed a three-year framework agreement covering the supply of technical support and marine assurance surveying services.
MMC has been working with the logistics team at the leading gases and engineering company since 2013, delivering marine assurance and technical support on numerous projects. Typically, these involve third party reviews of technical submissions submitted by shipowners and heavy transport operators ensuring that all operational and technical calculations are done to the highest standards.
Subsequently, MMC surveyors undertake site visits and oversee operations on Linde's behalf, or as support for its on-site team.
Commenting on the agreement, Karsten Herz, group lead strategic logistics at Linde, said: "We are very pleased to extend and strengthen the relationship with MMC via this framework agreement."
Under the agreement, MMC will undertake surveying activities involved in the lift and transport of Linde's heavy and over-dimensional modules, which could be at the quayside, during transport and lifting, involving any newbuilds, as well as on overland transport routes.
