May 5 - Intermarine has announced the expansion of its monthly liner service from the Mediterranean to the Americas with the appointment of Hugo Trumpy as exclusive commercial agent in Italy for this trade lane.
Genoa-based Hugo Trumpy has more than 60 years of experience dedicated to this trade lane and customer base, as a former Nordana Line agent. Intermarine and Hugo Trumpy will increase the present liner service to the Americas, ensuring regular sailings from the Mediterranean to the Americas.
"With Intermarine, we expect to offer our market an even more diversified and flexible liner service, now accepting heavy units up to 1,400 tons (1,270 tonnes)," said Hugo Trumpy's Andrea Boesgaard.
Since 2014, Intermarine has operated a bi-monthly sailing from the Mediterranean to Americas through a joint sailing agreement with Spanish shipping company, Marguisa.
