Intermarine has commenced its Americas liner service, following the brand’s resurrection at the end of January.

HLPFI readers will recall that Zeamarine divested its Americas Liner business, which operates ten multipurpose vessels serving customers in the US-South America trade, last month. It was confirmed that Industrial Maritime Carriers (IMC) will operate the business under the former brand name Intermarine under the stewardship of Richard Seeg, formerly managing director, Americas at Zeamarine.

The first sailing of the relaunched Intermarine saw the former Zeamarine ship Zea Color depart Houston on February 7, according to the company’s sailing schedule.

Other ex-Zeamarine ships have also made an appearance on the company’s sailing schedule, including Zea Ama, Zea Ace, Zea Confidence and Industrial Future.
