Höegh Autoliners has sold its land-based terminals in the USA, which operated as Horizon Terminal Services, to Amports.
Horizon Terminal Services has marine terminal operations in Jacksonville and Port Everglades, Florida; and Freeport in Texas. It provides customers with a variety of services, including vehicle and equipment processing, warehousing, long and short-term storage, road and railroad access, and foreign trade zones.
Horizon Terminal Services is also equipped to manage high and heavy, breakbulk and project cargoes.
Andreas Enger, ceo of Höegh Autoliners, said: “As we simplify and consolidate our services around port-to-port ocean transport, we sought a new owner for our land-based terminals in the USA that could invest and grow the business for the benefit of our customers and employees.”
