Hendrik Veder Group, which provides steel wire and fibre rope products to the marine, oil and gas and shipping industries, has appointed Anne Raangs as a sustainability and circularity specialist.
The role will focus exclusively on projects that enhance sustainability practices and contribute to efforts to strengthen the circular economy of the industries in which Hendrik Veder Group operates.
Following an experienced career in the offshore and maritime industry supply chain and having played a crucial role in a series of sustainability and environmental-focused projects and groups, Raangs will utilise her expertise across both fields to further integrate Hendrik Veder Group’s dedication to sustainable alternatives to standard industry practices for its customers.
Responsible for developing, implementing, and promoting Hendrik Veder Group’s sustainable initiatives, Raangs will design detailed strategies for customers within the North Sea triangle whilst establishing partnerships with operators to implement new approaches. This includes applying circular solutions for end-of-life materials (such as used rigging materials) and supporting customers to optimise the reuse of resources as part of a cost-effective asset management project.
The role is based in the company’s Rotterdam headquarters, but the position will oversee the entirety of the group – including its UK division, with a primary office in Aberdeen and a secondary branch in Sheffield – to align commercial and operational teams in the Netherlands, Norway, and the UK.
