The Grimaldi Group has signed two contracts with Telespazio for the upgrade of its satellite communications systemson its fleet of cargo and passenger vessels.
As part of the first agreement, Telespazio will manage on board communications for Grimaldi’s ro-ro and pure car and truck carrier (PCTC) vessels, which operate between Northern Europe, North and South America, West Africa and the Mediterranean.
Specifically, Telespazio will handle the design and supply of on board systems for satellite communications and related broadband services.
The second agreement covers the modernisation of voice and data satellite telecommunication services for crew and passengers.
