Robert Gillespie has been named managing director at offshore contractor Ocean Installer (UK).
Based in Aberdeen, Gillespie will be responsible for growing the company’s market share, while safely delivering projects. He has 27 years of experience in the international offshore oil and gas and wind industries, having worked at Fugro, TechnipFMC, McDermott and, most recently, as managing director DOF Subsea UK.
Kevin Murphy, deputy ceo of Ocean Installer, said that Gillespie’s appointment is one of numerous strategic changes the company is implementing to strengthen its service offering in the UK.
