Petronas has awarded GAC Malaysia a licence to provide bunkering, freight forwarding, shipping and non-bonded warehousing services for the country’s oil and gas sector.
Petronas is responsible for the licensing of third-party contractors, service and equipment suppliers operating in Malaysia’s oil and gas sector. As a result of the licence award, GAC said it will be able to provide services for both the upstream oil and gas sector in Malaysia, as well as Petronas’ downstream activities.
Mike Camara, GAC Malaysia’s managing director, added: “With this licence, we are now open to more opportunities, and can provide support to Petronas projects, as well as projects by its joint venture partners for offshore blocks and their multinational vendors, some of whom are already GAC’s customers in other parts of the world.”
