August 5 - Expeditors International registered second quarter gross revenue growth of 67 percent and increased net sales by 27 percent.
The company appears to be benefiting from a growing recovery in global trade
posting a profit of USD90.3 million, up from USD54.1 million a year
earlier.
Total revenue surged 69 percent to USD1.52 billion.
Expeditors saw airfreight revenues nearly double, whilst oceanfreight
revenues jumped 65 percent.
Meanwhile, DSV's interim results for 2010 show consolidated turnover for the
first six months (ended 30 June) rose from DKK 18.267 billion (USD 3.233
billion) in the first half of 2009 to DKK 20.406 billion (USD 3.612
billion).
Earnings before interest, tax and amortisation (ebita) increased from DKK
804 million (EUR 142.298 million) to DKK 1.038 billion (around USD183.71
million).
