May 28 - The DNV GL Group board of directors has appointed Remi Eriksen as the company's new group president and ceo.
Eriksen succeeds Henrik Madsen, who retires on August 1 after more than 30 years working with the company and nine years serving as ceo. Since 2014, the board of directors has undertaken an extensive search to find a successor for Madsen.
Eriksen most recently served as DNV GL chief operating officer.
He has extensive international experience in the oil and gas, maritime, and renewable energy industries, and has led operating in Asia, Europe and the Americas, explained chairman of the DNV GL Group board, Leif-Arne Langøy.
