Duffaut, who brings more than 30 years of international experience in the transport and logistics industry, succeeds Alex Delrue. Now focusing solely on the Spanish market, Delrue previously oversaw both the Spanish and French subsidiaries of Hellmann in a combined role for the past five years.

”The appointment of Gilles Duffaut is an important step in our growth strategy. We look forward to working with him and his team to expand our market position in France across all product areas and to further consolidate our network in France,” said Jens Tarnowski, regional ceo West Europe, Hellmann. “At the same time, we would like to thank Alex Delrue, who has done an excellent job in his dual role in both Spain and France.”

Hellmann set up its initial own air and seafreight branch in France in 2019 and now boasts five offices and has expanded its logistics offerings. The company has plans to open additional branches in the country too.

In November 2024, HLPFI reported that Enrico Farneti became managing director of Hellmann Italy.
