deugro will expand its wind energy division in Europe, and further expansion at its green energy logistics hub in Germany planned.
“Over the last few years, wind and renewable energy has played an increasingly vital role in the deugro story, which led us to establish a division focused purely on Wind Renewable Energy several years ago,” said Kasper Heiselberg, head of global wind renewable industry, deugro.
The company will grow its engineering and technical teams over the course of 2024 as the expansion progresses.
deugro also runs a green energy logistics hub in the port of Wilhelmshaven, Germany, in cooperation with Nordfrost. The hub will primarily address the needs of clients in the onshore and offshore wind energy industry, as well as support grid-related companies, such as handling converter stations, substations and transformers. It will largely focus on the Central Europe region.
This hub will be further developed to cater to a larger volume of wind energy projects.
When complete at the end of this year, the hub will service the needs of deugro’s clients in the onshore and offshore wind energy industry. It will allow unrestricted access for ocean-going vessels and direct hinterland connections to Germany’s motorways and the European rail network.
