Cyan Renewables has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Blue Water Shipping.
The aim of the MoU, according to Cyan, is to address key logistical challenges that come with the rapid scaling of the offshore wind sector in the Asia Pacific region.
By partnering with Blue Water Shipping, with its experience in offshore wind marshalling port management and maritime logistics, Cyan Renewables says it is seeking to support the deployment, operation and maintenance of offshore wind projects in Asia Pacific.
The partnership will allow them to provide a wide range of logistical services and infrastructure to facilitate the transportation of offshore wind components via the ocean/road, route survey, port marshalling yard and more.
“This collaboration with Blue Water Shipping Singapore came at a critical time of robust growth in Asia’s offshore wind industry, allowing us to address the sector’s pressing infrastructure needs and logistical complexities,” said Keng Lin Lee, ceo of Cyan Renewables,
”By merging our expertise and resources in offshore wind, we can streamline the supply chain and ensure that the supply of critical components and services is handled efficiently, paving the way for the region’s renewable energy expansion.”
Jason Goh, regional managing director, Asia at Blue Water Shipping said: “Through this partnership, we aim to address critical logistical challenges and contribute to the sustainable growth of the offshore wind industry, ultimately advancing the region’s renewable energy transition.”
