Cosco Shipping Specialized Carriers has ordered five 62,000 dwt multipurpose vessels, plus four options, which will be built at Cosco Shipping Heavy Industry (Dalian) in China.
According to the carrier, the newbuildings will be used to support several long-term pulp transport contracts it has won recently.
The vessels are priced at approximately USD33.5 million each.
