UK-based Training4Transport, a division of Collett Holdings, has introduced a certificate of professional competence (CPC) course designed to give drivers an insight into ways to reduce fuel use and emissions.
The LoCity Driving course will focus on journey planning, vehicle checks and maintenance to reduce emissions; applying fuel-efficient driving techniques; and in-vehicle technologies to improve driving performance.
The course will also look at the value of vehicle design and technology, as well as alternative cleaner fuels that are available for commercial vehicles.
Collett & Sons first launched its standalone training team in 2015 for its own employees. This subsequently developed into the Training4Transport (T4T) brand as the centre started to incorporate third-party training at its accredited facilities in Halifax.
Now, T4T offers a number of transport qualifications designed specifically for the heavy transport and heavy haulage sectors.
