Collett & Sons has delivered the final components to the Cushaling wind farm, Ireland.
Throughout the project, 90 components were delivered to complete the nine V162 Vestas Eventus turbines, which are currently under construction.
The wind farm marks a milestone in Collett’s portfolio with the delivery of 80 m-long blades. According to the company, these are the longest blades to be delivered in the UK and Ireland to date. The company used a blade adapter trailer to deliver the wind turbine components.
In August, Collett – working with GE Vernova – completed its role in the Pathfinder substation project. The responsibilities involved the transport, lifting, offloading, positioning and installation of four 145-tonne transformers from Buckie Harbour to the Blackhillock Beatrice onshore substation.
