China Navigation Company (CNCo), part of the Swire Group, has expanded its presence in North America by establishing a branch office in Vancouver, Canada.
The office will, according to Bruce Ralston, minister of jobs, trade and technology for British Columbia, contribute to increasing trade between the Canadian province and the Asia Pacific region.
The Vancouver office is CNCo’s largest office in North America. A team of 14 managers will oversee the company’s dry bulk and liner businesses under its Swire Bulk and Swire Shipping divisions, respectively.
Chris Daniells, CNCo’s commercial director, said: “The Vancouver branch office will be key to growing our presence in North America and supporting the growth in our regional dry bulk and multipurpose shipping businesses.”
