CMA CGM has created a specialised airfreight division – CMA CGM Air Cargo.
The company is supporting its expansion into airfreight with the purchase of four Airbus A330-200F freighter aircraft, which came into service between 2014 and 2016. With a range of 4,000 nautical miles, they will connect Europe with the rest of the world, said CMA CGM, which is entrusting the operation of the freighter fleet to a European airline.
Rodolphe Saadé, chairman and ceo of the CMA CGM Group, said the launch of the division “is a major milestone in the development of our logistics services”. As part of the group’s strategic development, CMA CGM hopes to bolster its logistics services to offer customers comprehensive, agile and customised solutions – covering both shipping and logistics.
