Chapman Freeborn has launched a partnership with GTA Air Solutions, which will see the Mississauga-based company act as the charter broker’s representative in the Canadian market.
Headed up by ceo and chairman, Mario D’Urso, and chief operating officer, Brian Potvin, GTA will provide local clients with access to global cargo charter services, including heavy and oversize shipments in support of Canada’s energy and mining industries.
Through the new partnership – which was announced at TIACA's International Air Cargo Forum in Toronto – the availability of Chapman Freeborn subsidiary Magma Aviation’s fleet of B747-400 freighters will also be shared with Canadian forwarders.
Russi Batliwala, ceo of Chapman Freeborn, commented: “Through this partnership, Canadian customers will have greater choice and access to a wider range of charter products than before. GTA is a business with its roots firmly in Canada, and they are ideally placed to help us extend our reach in this market.”
