Japan-based Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) has appointed country representatives for the USA and Russia.

Katsumi Nagata has been named chief representative of the USA, and Kenji Yokota as chief representative of Russia, effective April 1, 2021.

Nagata also currently serves as chief country representative for North America, Central America, and the Caribbean.

MOL said it has expanded its base in the USA. The shipping company has a focus on the automobile industry, which has a broad range of supporting industries, as well as the energy sectors.

In Russia, the company has supported the Arctic LNG project and moved ahead with the use of Arctic shipping routes as a shorter link between Europe and East Asia.

MOL added that it has identified the USA and Russia as key strategic nations.
